Meet Dr. Holcombe

ESTABLISHED PLASTIC SURGEON

Travis C. Holcombe, MD, FACS is a Phoenix plastic surgeon who is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and has been practicing in the Phoenix area since 1993. Dr. Holcombe has over 30 years of experience in reconstructive and cosmetic plastic surgery. He focuses his work in several areas including plastic surgery of the breast, body contouring, excision of lesions including skin cancer, wound reconstruction and plastic trauma surgery.   

DEDICATED TO SERVING THOSE WHO NEED IT MOST

An important aspect of Dr. Holcombe’s practice includes taking call for trauma cases at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. He values the opportunity to care for those who need urgent attention for facial fractures and wounds. Dr. Holcombe is honored to work alongside the nationally recognized surgeons at the Barrow Neurological Institute, partnering on some of the most intricate neurosurgical cases to close complex wounds.

EXPERIENCED EDUCATOR 

Dr. Holcombe serves as Instructor in Plastic Surgery at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Assistant Clinical Professor of Surgery at Creighton University School of Medicine.  He feels privileged to have students and residents on his service as he is passionate about educating the next generation of plastic surgeons. 

ACCOMPLISHED IN THE FIELD

Dr. Holcombe has been recognized through the years for his outstanding work and has been honored to receive the AZ Top Doc award on several occasions.  He has been awarded Teacher of the Year from the Mayo Clinic Plastic Surgery residency program. Dr. Holcombe has also published a number of research papers with regard to plastic surgery technique.

PERSONAL LIFE

In his free time, Dr. Holcombe enjoys spending time with his family. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Kathy, and they have two beautiful daughters and three grandchildren who bring them a lot of joy.  He enjoys attending bible study with a group of friends and colleagues, working out and riding his bike, and playing golf.
