Dr. Holcombe rotates on call for trauma cases at Phoenix Children's Hospital and St. Joseph Hospital. If you see him in the hospital, we will continue to follow you in clinic after you are discharged until you are completely healed.
Depending on the nature of your facial fracture, you may require surgical repair to restore the function and appearance of the injured bones. Dr. Holcombe uses small incisions on concealed areas of the face or in the mouth to repair and reposition the broken bones. In some cases, he may use plates, screws or wires to set bones. If you do not require surgery, we will likely schedule a few visits with us in clinic to follow your improvement and ensure proper non-surgical healing.
Dr. Holcombe is experienced with wound repair for complex wounds caused by trauma. He uses a variety of suture techniques to close wounds in the best way for optimal healing. Even with expert surgical repair, you will have a scar; but we work hard to minimize scars.
